Christmas is a time of entertaining, and a great way to say thank you to your hosts is with an edible gift. Now is also the time to think about gifts for teachers to thank them for the year. We’ve done a list of our favourite PlanBuyCook edible delights to spread Christmas cheer.

Savoury edible gifts

We love the simplicity of the savoury cheese biscuits. They are great to take along for afternoon drinks.

Spicy nut clusters are so easy to make and very moreish. Break them up into clusters.

Sweet gifts

Brutti ma buoni (ugly but good) make a great gift and are a perfect use for leftover egg whites. Lovely to take to a morning or afternoon tea get-together.

For a sweet treat, make some chocolate ganache truffles. A lovely after dinner treat.

These Christmas jam stars look the part, and are sure to please.

Gingerbread makes a great table decoration on Christmas day. Take them along as a gift to your host.

Fruit mince tarts scream Christmas, and you can use our shortcut of buying ready-made fruit mince and make your own pastry.

Rocky road is a deadset winner, and so easy the kids can do it themselves.

Tip of the week

Salads are best served at room temperature. If making them in advance, take them out of the refrigerator in time to get to room temp.
